It were our first time visiting this massive and famous campus, located in the beautiful city of Hangzhou, just an hour by fast train from Shanghai. Before entering Alibaba, we were so nervous because we were worried about not meeting project expectations. From the request meeting to the onsite visit, we spent almost three days there, working on solutions and planning the headcount based on the project budget.
Alibaba’s headquarters is actually built in the Xixi Wetland area, a natural and green place in Hangzhou. Every day, we woke up early to ride bicycles and scooters around the campus, just like students. Almost every area has a canteen serving food for employees and all visitors with a visit card, where you can enjoy affordable meals.
The first sector of the project was completed before Chinese New Year. What we felt was like being back in school, full of energy every day. The last picture shows the place where Jack Ma greets clients and important visitors—traditional-style architecture, heard from our project leader and felt so proud of that.
Kicking off this project with Alibaba marks a milestone for Jetspeed, which is about to celebrate its 6-year anniversary.
